In SprinSuite the main function of Departments is to allow your company to allocate budgets, income and expenses to certain aspects of your business. You can also use departments to allocate staff and assets to.
Create.
To Create a department, go to Settings and click on the Departments tab.
Click Add New.
Type the Name of the Department and set an admin email.
You will also need to nominate whether this Department will accept Non-Producing Timesheet entries by clicking the box next to Non Producing Time?
Type the description of the Service of the contact eE. Director, Payroll, HR.
Next allocate an external contact or select a staff member from the drop-down list to be nominated as the Department contact.
You can toggle CC in Purchase Order Email where the selected contact will be CC'd in every Purchase Order email that is sent to suppliers for that Department.
Press Save.
This Admin User is now the contact for the Department.
Edit
To edit a Department, click on the Edit button to the right of the Department.
You can edit the name, email and contact details for the Department if you wish.
Edit the description of the Service of the contact eg. Director, Payroll, HR.
You can also nominate other staff in the department in the Department Supervisors tab, by selecting a staff member from the drop-down list.
Pre-Start Supervisors will receive email notifications when a Pre-Start for their department has been completed.
Mobilization Supervisors will receive email notifications when a mobilization is in breach of any fatigue rules.
Job Supervisors will receive email notifications when a Jobs' status has exceeded the applied threshold. (Go to Job Status Thresholds Tab in Settings to apply rules)
Select your Staff Member from the drop-down list and click on Add Supervisor. Once added Successfully added a new department supervisor pop will appear. Now the selected Staff Members will be notified by email.
Deactivate/reactivate a department
Click on the department name you wish to deactivate.
Click on the red Deactivate button on the top right of the portal. (This department will no longer appear in the drop-down department list in the scheduler tab).
If you wish to reactivate a department. Clcik on the deactivated department name and click on the green activate button to the top right of the portal.
